It has a completely reworked and modernized GTK2/Glade GUI, integrated plugins, an improved system for classic PSEmu plugins, better configuration tools, support for translation, easy installation, and support for AMD64. The old PCSX-df branch is a fork of the PCSX PlayStation emulator designed specifically for GNU/Linux (and probably other similar systems). It was based on PCSX-df 1.9, with, in its early times, support for Windows, GNU/Linux and Mac OS X (at the time) as well as many bugfixes and improvements. I also have two DS4 but I think I would have to buy a separate controller for convenience (it's good to always have one fully charged DS4 ready).PCSX-Reloaded is a plugin-based PlayStation emulator created in mid-2009. btw I'm emulating always at internal 1x resolution, I prefer the original look (+ the default screen filter that DuckStation provides).Ģ) I assume that both emulators don't have any loading speedup options?ģ) ePSXe vs PCSX-ReARMed - which will you recommend if I don't need resolution higher than native?Ĥ) What controller do you use with Mi Box? I have few Dualshocks 3 in good shape but I heard that they are useless with Mi Box. and I'm afraid that I will ruin it for her by damaging the box. But maybe I'm wrong and emulating games doesn't put more strain on the device than streaming movie in Full HD/4K? What is your take on it from the technical point of view? I'm kind of worried, it's tempting to try, but I bought Mi Box for my wife so she can watch Netflix etc. I would like to ask you a few more questions if it wouldn't be a problem:ġ) Is it possible that emulating PS1 games on Mi Box can be harmful for the device? I mean, it probably gets really hot and the box doesn't have any cooling fan in it. This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you for saving me time and disappointment, extremely helpful! This is why I was thinking about using my Mi Box S and I would like to ask you if there is some workaround and possibility that I don't know about to use DuckStation on my TV box? Like it converted to the bigger picture and there is no way around it. Obviously, I could just play PS1 games on my PC and this is exactly what I was doing until lately but since I bought new, bigger TV for PS4 in my living room, my brain doesn't tolerate playing on 24-inch monitor anymore as I have terrible headaches. And it really spoiled me, that's why I don't even bother trying ePSXe. Remember games like Mortal Kombat Trilogy or WWF Smackdown 2 where 90% of the experience was watching the loading screens? In DuckStation it is possible to make the loading times almost non-existent and actually play the game. ePSXe is available but I remember that it wasn't even that good on my PC so I don't think it would be good for android TV.Īnd DuckStation is the reason why I started to play PS1 games again. Hello everyone, I tried to look it up on Play Store but there was a notification that DuckStation by Stenzek is not compatible with my device.
